How fast can WGA activate a charter?
Our charter desk operates 24/7 from Estero, FL. A standard activation — request, quote, contract, slot — runs under four hours; AOG-grade activations can be faster when a positioning aircraft is already moving. Tell us your origin/destination, dimensions and DG class up front; that's the gate.
What aircraft do you fly, and why only two types?
Boeing 747-400F and McDonnell Douglas MD-11F — nineteen tails between them. Both are powered by the GE CF6-80C2, which means a single spares pool, a single line-maintenance posture and crews trained against a tight set of procedures. Less drift, more dispatch.
Is WGA an FAA-certificated airline?
Yes. We hold a U.S. FAA Part 121 air carrier certificate. All operations — ACMI, Charter and Full-Service — fly under the same certificate, with the same flight crews, the same continuous airworthiness programme and the same OCC.
Do you carry dangerous goods and oversize cargo?
Yes — DG up to category D, live animals to IATA LAR, perishables on temperature-controlled standard, and outsize loads via the 747-400F nose-door (the MD-11F handles standard 96"×125" main-deck pallets through its side-door).
Where are your crew bases and MRO?
Crews are based at Miami (KMIA) and at our maintenance base in Blytheville, Arkansas (KBYH), where we run a two-bay widebody hangar capable of C-checks and engine changes. Heavy maintenance stays in-house, on certificate, on schedule.
What's the difference between ACMI and Full-Service?
ACMI is wet-lease: we supply Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance, and the lessee runs the rest under their AOC's commercial colours. Full-Service is the inverse — we own everything from origin warehouse to consignee, with a single bill of lading and a single point of contact.
